Dear Parents,
Henry Brooks Adams wrote, “Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.” At Crossroads that means a focus on strong minds and kind hearts, one day at a time, even in a pandemic year. As we wrap up this year, we know that our students will take all that you as parents have given them and taught them, and all that we as educators have given them and taught them, and that they will go forward with these gifts. Whether they are moving forward in our school, graduating, or moving on, what they learned this year will always be with them.
As Head of School, I hear stories. I hear stories of lives shaped by experiences at Crossroads Academy. This week it was Katie, a former student who told me about her studies in nursing, and her sister Rachel, who talked to me about her studies in veterinary medicine. It was Marcy, who reached out to tell me that it was her Crossroads education that inspired her and prepared her to become a teacher. These stories make me wonder, each time I look into the eyes of your children, what will their future hold? How will their years here affect their choices as they move forward? What a gift you are giving them when you give them a Crossroads education!
You have been our partners through it all. As this year of giving ends, I wish to offer my gratitude to all of you. Thank you for entrusting your children to us.
Thank you for supporting us during the pandemic. We appreciate your diligence and good will with our pandemic policies. This was more than challenging!
Thank you for your kindness and support of our hard-working and dedicated faculty.
Thank you for all of the ways you supported our school from contributions to volunteer service. You are very much appreciated.
Here’s wishing you a carefree, fun-filled summer, filled with all of the joys of family and friends. We will be in touch!
Warmly,
Jean
