Last Thursday marked our first Lower School Learning Partnership experience in quite some time! Our K-2 students were paired with one or more partners across grades to complete a ‘get to know you’ interview. Questions included: What is your favorite color, favorite food, favorite subject at school? Students in grades 3-5 gathered outside for a virtue centered read aloud, A Flicker of Hope. Partnerships then discussed ways to share their light with others and to bring hope to our Crossroads community. Students listed three things that they can do to help build hope in others, including “play with everyone, be inclusive, give friends a boost, and ask what’s wrong.” Our cross grade (within cohorts) learning partnerships are a great way to make new friends, build community, and learn from peers.
