We would like to invite K through seventh grade families to join your student for an information session to learn about The New England School of the Arts (NESA). NESA is a new private arts high school that will open in the fall of 2023. Associate Head of NESA, Jennifer Chambers, is excited to share the vision and mission with current Crossroads students and families on Thursday, January 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the Fanger Center Commons.
Chambers describes the New England School of the Arts’ mission is to provide an excellent college preparatory experience to a diverse collective of creative, artistic youth. Their vision is to use the transformative power of the arts to prepare creative thinkers who are ready to be inclusive and responsible stewards of the future. The city of Lebanon will welcome the inaugural class as the central green becomes their high school campus. Students will experience art at AVA Gallery & Art Center, physical education at the CCBA, world languages through the Rassias Foundation at Dartmouth, dance at Lebanon Ballet School, and science, technology, engineering and math in a variety of spaces from River Valley Community College, to their homebase on Hanover Street. The school will operate as a lab school and provide diverse course offerings with robust connections to STEAM-centered learning across the curriculum.
