I am excited to report that Liz Drennan has accepted the position of second grade teacher. We all know Liz from her work as a substitute teacher over the past year and a half, and we are thrilled to welcome her as a full-time member of our faculty! The search committee, consisting of Kerri, Kylie, Holly, Jamie, and Heather, with input from Kayla, was impressed with Liz’s background, teaching demonstration, and commitment to our Core Knowledge and Core Virtues instruction at Crossroads.

As you may remember, Liz recently relocated to the Upper Valley from New Jersey and brings with her over 25 years of experience working with students of all ages throughout the tri-state area as a teacher and school library media specialist. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching as a Literacy Specialist from Columbia University Teachers College, a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Learning as a Library Media Specialist, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Speech and Theatre.

Of course, Marj will remain at the helm of the second grade class throughout the remainder of the school year as she prepares for her well-deserved retirement. In the meantime, Liz will begin working as the third and fourth grade assistant later this week.

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions about faculty and staff transitions.
