While the eighth graders were away on their trip to Boston, the seventh graders stepped up to practice what will be their new leadership role in the Middle School next year. This included a number of team-building exercises with guidance from the Hulbert Outdoor Center staff and Mr. McGuigan. Seventh graders tested their communication skills, patience, listening abilities, and problem-solving techniques. They were able to grow as a team and learn more about how to work together to solve fun and sometimes challenging tasks. The morning ended with a celebratory BBQ with their sixth grade friends. In the afternoon, seventh graders practiced the skills learned that morning by guiding our first and second graders through a number of outdoor games and activities. It is so exciting to watch our rising leaders step up to this important position.
