Pura hails originally from sunny Florida and relocated to Vermont in 2021 with her family.
Pura has her BA in English Literature from Florida State University and holds a minor in communications. She taught English in Japan for two years before starting her family. She loves to travel and has been to almost all 50 states!
Pura has spent the past 10 years in education, primarily elementary. Her passion for literature, and sparking a love of reading in others, led her to become an elementary librarian and media specialist. Pura understands that learning entails finding one’s own path, learning self discipline, having fun, and being kind (especially to yourself). She loves teaching the fourth grade, and believes that it is a pivotal year of growth and self discovery. She strives to guide and assist students and parents through academic and social emotional development.
