Victoria Dobrushina (M.A. of Music) is one of the founders of the Experimental School of Arts in Moscow. She moved to the Upper Valley in 1995 and began teaching piano, recorder, music theory, vocal and instrumental ensembles. Victoria taught at the Concord Community Music School in Concord, NH, and was an accompanist for Concertato Singers at Handel Society of Dartmouth College. She is a pianist at Christian Science Church in Hanover, and an accompanist for choirs at the Marion Cross School in Norwich. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Victoria has created many unique recitals and musical productions with her students. She believes in the powerful magic of theater and has witnessed its benefits as many of her students have overcome fears, built confidence, and found their voice through their time on stage. Over the years, many of her students developed a great deal of interest in performing arts and some have gone on to pursue music education in college. She has also seen her students succeed in regional piano competitions in NH, VT, and MA. Several of Victoria’s students have won concerto competitions and as a result performed as pianist soloists with the Burlington Chamber Orchestra and Windham Orchestra in Brattleboro, VT. In 2017 Victoria founded Trillium Children’s Performing Arts Company to promote appreciation of the performing arts in Upper Valley youth.
